General Director

Dr. Giulio Bolzonetti has been the General Director of the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca since July 1, 2020.

Born in San Severino Marche (MC), Italy on December 10, 1963, he graduated in Political Science in 1989 from the University of Macerata. In 2012, he obtained a second-level Master's in “Management of Universities and Research Institutions” from the Politecnico di Milano. 

Since January 1991, he has worked at the University of Camerino, holding several positions: Director of the General Affairs Division, Director of the Academic and Teaching Area, and Director of the Educational Process Management Area. From November 2009 to September 2017, he served as Deputy Administrative Director and later as Deputy General Director.
He has been a manager since January 1, 2013, following a public tender, while also assuming the role of Head of the Research and Technology Transfer macro-sector at the University of Camerino. Since 2018, he has been responsible for the Services for Teaching, Internationalisation and Post-graduate studies macro-sector at the same University.

He has been the University’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Officer and a member of the Quality Assurance Office at the University of Camerino.
Since December 2014, he has been part of the Evaluation Group at the University of Urbino as an external expert.
