Classical Archaeology, Digital Humanities, GIS and Spatial Analysis
Applicants should demonstrate: 1. the capacity for excellent research; 2. significant international experience and participation in international research projects and research collaborations; 3. the ability to attract research funds. Experience in teaching and research supervision is welcome.
The successful candidate has an excellent record of publications in the specific field of Classical Archaeology and Digital tools applied to Archaeology. An interdisciplinary approach to large research problems and a focus on Spatial Analysis are most welcome.
The successful candidate should be willing to support the development of research activities, projects and educational initiatives in the field of Classical Art and Archaeology, Art History, Cultural Heritage as well as the interdisciplinary research activities and projects carried out at LYNX Research Unit; to participate in and stimulate collective projects, teach courses and seminars at PhD level, supervise PhD Students and support their national and international research activities. The successful candidate should be willing to participate, in particular, in the PRIN project 2022 “The artisanal productions of ancient Capua” and the project “Survey of some Calabria archaeological parks and museums: Crotone, Locri, Archeoederi Bova Marina” funded by the Directorate Regional Calabria Museums.
Post-lauream diploma in Archaeology or disciplines related to Cultural Heritage (specializzazione or PhD). Documented experience in the field of digital humanities, digital tools applied to Archaeology and Cultural Heritage. Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

Selection procedure and criteria
Selection procedure conditions are transparent and are based on international standards.
Procedure
A Selection Committee, appointed by the Rector, assesses all applications on the basis online application info. Applicants selected on the basis of the preliminary analysis are interviewed at the Job Market Meetings in which the Institute is planning to participate, if applicable to the specific academic sector. Alternatively, individual interviews may also be conducted at IMT or by conference call. Travel expenses to Lucca for the interview will be reimbursed.
Selection Criteria
The evaluation criteria are based on: Quality of research activity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and references; Research organization experience and participation in international/national research projects and research periods in public and private institutions (academic and non-academic); Relevance of the candidate's profile for the development of IMT's research activities; Teaching, mentoring and supervision experience; Motivation; Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken; As well as any other requirements as specified in the advertisement.
