Student and Alumni Association (SAA)
In 2016 students, alumni and alumnae from all over the world joined together in an association – The IMT Student and Alumni Association – with the aim of developing and cultivating a strong bond with the IMT School, reciprocally promoting personal, cultural and professional relations, contributing to forming an international knowledge network made up by people, skills and experiences, which has the city of Lucca as its fulcrum.
In 2025, it became a non-profit, social promotion association: IMT Student and Alumni Association APS (IMT SAA).
The aim of the Association is to launch new and diversified activities to enhance and promote, both nationally and internationally, scientific excellence and the reputation of research, the welfare of the School and its members, and to create a network that actively supports mentoring and placement services by creating synergies and reinforcing shared values. The SAA is also open to external supporters.
Committee Members, Executive Committee, and President
- The Executive Committee (EC) consists of at least 7 and no more than 11 members elected by the Members' Assembly and has a term of 3 years. The EC implements the resolutions of the Assembly, promotes initiatives relating to the Association's objectives, manages the organisation and administration of the Association, issues operational directives and the like.
- The President, elected by the Executive Committee from among its members, drives the Association's activities, is the legal representative thereof, manages the Association's external relations, convenes and chairs the Executive Committee and the Members' Assembly. The President convenes the Executive Committee, coordinates its activities, and ensures that all members of the Executive Committee are adequately informed of the materials and topics to be considered.
