Beyond the boundaries of disciplines.
Since its founding, the IMT School has introduced – as a hallmark of its way of doing research – an integration of methods and disciplines, open to contamination and collaboration between different fields of knowledge.
The School's research programme is based on the interdisciplinarity and complementarity of methodologies from various fields, including economics, engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, physics, archaeology, cognitive and social neuroscience, art history, and cultural heritage management and analysis.
Research and teaching organisationally pertain to multidisciplinary scientific areas, within which individual Research Units are dedicated to distinct but related areas of study and academic activity.
