Public engagement

Since its founding, the IMT School has been committed to promoting scientific popularisation and to collaborating with local institutions and associations in a process of mutual exchange and enrichment, in the belief that academic knowledge acquires its full value when it is able to open up to society and generate a dialogue with people. This commitment translates into concrete initiatives aimed at local schools and events open to all citizens, to engage people in the knowledge of scientific research and contribute to informed public decisions. The School also supports its researchers, faculty and student community in the creation of scientific and cultural communication and dissemination projects, such as videos and podcasts.

The IMT School is also among the founding members of APEnet, the Association of Universities and Research Institutions for Public Engagement.

  • Lectures, workshops, interactive performances: throughout the year, the IMT School organises initiatives aimed at students and teachers.

  • Videos, podcasts, illustrations are some of the tools that the IMT School uses to share its research with audiences.
