Profile:
The researcher will be expected to carry out scientific research consistent with the topics of the Scientific Disciplinary Sector (S.S.D.) in the field of Operations Research. A strong scientific background in numerical optimization is required, including non-smooth and non-convex optimization, as well as splitting methods, and their application to automatic control and machine learning.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an aptitude for collaborating with other areas of the School and with local, national, and international industrial partners.
Activity:
The candidate will contribute to the development of the IMT School in several regards:
- excellent record of scientific publications;
- intense scientific collaboration with IMT School researchers;
- supervision of PhD students;
- teaching at the PhD level;
- promotion of multidisciplinary research on optimization, automatic control and machine learning, and their application in several domains of interest for the School.
